Dates Set for Opening Day

December 1, 2017
The Greencastle Youth Softball Association Board set the following important dates for both Fastpitch and Slow Pitch.

April 8, 2017 - Slow Pitch Draft Day
April 15, 2017 - Fastpitch Opening Day
May 20, 2017 - Slow Pitch Opening Day

* Fastpitch practices will start the week of March 26, 2017
* Slow Pitch practices will start the week of April 9, 2017

About Slow Pitch Draft Day
Draft day is a long standing tradition where first time players come to the ball park to try out and meet their prospective coaches. Once the players have had the opportunity to take part in a few conditioning drills, coaches will fill out the remainder of their rosters with these first-time players. Draft day is weather permitting.

About Opening Day Slow Pitch
Opening day activities generally include a cookout, team pictures, and a round robin tournament based on the number of teams. Time schedules will be provided closer to opening day
