Hello CCLL Families,

With the Spring season just around the corner and this being the 1st weekend without rain since the close of fall ball, the fields are going to be renovated into the Best infields fields in the Santa Clarita Valley and District 40!

The grass areas have been thatched over the past 2 weeks and now it's go time. I have 20 tons of sand coming in to level out the infield grass areas and reduce those bad infield hops you have seen, then overseeding with 100lbs of rye and covering with 2200lbs of topper. In addition to that, the base paths and infield surfaces will be transformed by trucking in and adding 65 tons of the same surface mixture used at Angels stadium!

All of this is because the kids deserve it! This is going to take a bit of work and any help is welcome, even it is for just a couple of hours by a few of you. This would be a great way to start working towards your CMF refund as well. Please let me know if you are available this Thursday, 12/12 through Sunday, 12/15 to help. I will be there for the most part from 6am - 5pm each day and using a tractor to move a majority of the 170,000lbs of material.
