Players will be placed in age-appropriate divisions based on their Little League Age for the 2027 Spring Season. There are no player evaluations or tryouts for Fall Ball. Teams will be formed with a focus on balanced competition while making every effort to accommodate requests for specific coaches, teammates, or practice schedules when possible. Please note that requests cannot be guaranteed.

Volunteer Fee Program (VFP)

The volunteer fee is designed to encourage parent participation and support the volunteer-driven efforts that make Canyon Country Little League possible. As a non-profit organization, CCLL relies on the dedication of volunteers to provide a positive and successful baseball and softball experience for our players and families. Families may earn back their volunteer fee by completing an approved volunteer assignment during the season. Volunteer opportunities may include, but are not limited to, snack bar shifts, equipment distribution, field maintenance, tryout assistance, special events, and other league-supported activities.

To qualify for a refund of the volunteer fee:

Fall Season: One (1) three-hour volunteer commitment must be completed.
Spring Season: Ten volunteer hours must be completed.

Volunteer assignments must be completed during the applicable season and verified by the league.

Please note that Team Parents and Coaches are not eligible to receive a refund of the volunteer fee, as these positions do not fulfill the volunteer fee requirement. Managers are eligible to receive a refund of their volunteer fee upon completion of their managerial responsibilities during the season.

Volunteer fee amounts are:

Fall Season: $75 per family
Spring Season: Amount determined annually by the Board of Directors

Registration Information

Registration Deadline: August 17, 2026
Registration may close earlier if divisions reach capacity. Players registering after the deadline will be placed on a waitlist and assigned to teams only if space becomes available.

Player Eligibility

Players will be assigned to divisions using their Little League Age for the 2027 Spring Season, as determined by current Little League International age guidelines.

Minimum Playing Age

Players must be League Age 4, meaning they turn four (4) years old on or before August 31, 2026, to participate in Fall Ball.

Season Schedule

The Fall Ball season is expected to run from late September through mid-November 2026.

Games

Games are typically played on Saturdays.
Game times generally range from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM during Daylight Saving Time.
Following the time change, game schedules may begin earlier due to reduced daylight hours.
Some divisions may participate in interleague games with neighboring Little Leagues if necessary to provide an optimal playing experience.

Practices

Practices typically begin 1–2 weeks before Opening Day, depending on division and field availability.
Most teams will have one scheduled weekday practice each week.
Practice days and times are determined by field availability and manager availability.
Schedules are subject to change based on field conditions, weather, and league needs.

Divisions Overview

(Divisions and age groupings are subject to change based on registration numbers and player development needs.)
Canyon Country Little League reserves the right to adjust division structures, age groupings, and playing formats to best serve the developmental goals of our players and ensure a positive experience for all participants.

Tee Ball (League Ages 4–5)

Designed for players who are new to baseball, Tee Ball introduces the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, catching, fielding, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment.
Players participating in Tee Ball during Fall Ball will typically move into the Rookie Division during the Spring season.

Rookie / Coach Pitch (League Ages 6–7)

Rookie Division introduces players to hitting a moving baseball. Coaches pitch to batters while players continue developing basic baseball skills, game awareness, and confidence.

Farm (League Ages 8–9)

Farm is an instructional kid-pitch division where players begin transitioning to a more competitive baseball environment. Emphasis is placed on pitching, hitting, fielding fundamentals, and understanding game situations.
This division serves as an important developmental step for players preparing for Minors baseball.

Minors (League Ages 9–11)

The Minors Division provides a more advanced kid-pitch experience where players continue refining their baseball fundamentals while competing in a structured game environment.
Qualified League Age 9 players with previous kid-pitch experience may be eligible for this division.

Majors (League Ages 10–12)

Majors represents the highest level of play within the traditional Little League program. Players compete on a full Little League field while developing advanced baseball skills, strategy, teamwork, and game management.

Intermediate (50/70) (League Ages 11–13)

Intermediate Baseball is played on a larger field featuring 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths. This division helps players transition toward full-size baseball while continuing skill development in a competitive setting.

Juniors (League Ages 13–14)

Juniors Baseball is played on a full-size baseball field and is designed for players preparing for or currently participating in high school baseball programs. The division emphasizes advanced fundamentals, baseball IQ, leadership, and continued player development.

Challenger Division

The Challenger Division provides children and adults with physical and intellectual challenges the opportunity to enjoy the game of baseball in a supportive, inclusive, and fun environment. Players participate at their own pace with assistance from volunteers and buddies when needed.

Important Fall Ball Information

Fall Ball is an instructional and developmental program focused on skill improvement, player growth, and enjoyment of the game.

Participation in Fall Ball does not determine a player's Spring season division placement. Official Spring team placement is based on Little League age requirements, player evaluations, and league assessments conducted prior to the Spring season.

We encourage all players to participate in Fall Ball as an opportunity to:
Continue developing baseball skills
Gain valuable game experience
Build confidence
Strengthen friendships and teamwork
Prepare for the upcoming Spring season
Please note that Fall Ball team assignments, divisions, and participation do not guarantee placement in any particular division during the Spring 2027 season.
